Integral theatre practice places the body, breath and voice at the center of self-exploration, self expression and discovery. Embracing the jungian notion that matter and psyche are part of the same continuum, personal metaphor or meaning is unearthed through the embodied exploration of the movement dynamic of physical and emotional universe, in a state of creative play.
Embodiment is the foundational principle of this practice. Using theatre improvisations and structured dramatic phrases, character, voice work and role play this is an immersive approach to integrate mind and body, being and doing, in order to access a full range of human expression and self-discovery. Facilitated by Anitha Santhanam, Integral Theatre Practice has been designed for adults – actors and non–actors.
